Regular flu may be a result of bacterial or a viral infection, but dengue is a more dangerous condition which will require immediate medical help. Dengue has four different serotypes. The symptoms of dengue will not appear immediately but may show after a week. The fever resembles flu and can affect any individual irrespective of the age. A blood test can help in diagnosing dengue. No antibiotics or medications can actually help in treating this condition. Doctors advise on drinking a lot of fluids and taking rest. It is an essential herb used in Ayurvedic treatment. It helps in boosting the metabolism, protecting the body from infections, and enhancing the immunity of the body. Boiling the stem and consuming the water as a drink along with some tulsi leaves is very helpful.
Papaya leaves are known to increase the platelet count in the blood which greatly reduces in dengue. Other symptoms like nausea, feeling low, aches, chills, can be relieved as well. Crushing the leaves and having it in the form of a drink helps flush the toxins away.
It is yet another herb whose roots are used for making medicine. The symptoms of dengue can reduce very quickly by eliminating the virus. It is also as efficient as papaya leaves.
These leaves act as sedatives to promote better sleep and reduce pain symptoms. It also helps in reducing fever. To use fenugreek leaves, you have to soak them in water and drink along with methi powder or water.
Black Pepper and Tulsi Leaves
Boiling tulsi leaves along with black pepper (quantity – 2 grams) can be really helpful for enhancing the body’s immunity and can fight dengue. It has antibacterial properties.
This is yet another home remedy that can be used for treating dengue. It is also known for boosting the body’s metabolism and in turn helps in aiding the process of healing. Turmeric is quite effective when consumed with milk.
